Faculty Position in the Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University

OutlineDivision of Applied Chemistry, Graduate School of Engineering,
Osaka University is currently accepting applications for the position
of Professor. This position requires a commitment to research and
educational activities in the fields of organic chemistry and organic
chemistry-based interdisciplinary area. The successful candidate
will be responsible for not only research but also education at
undergraduate and graduate levels. Inquiries concerning the
research contents and policy are welcome.

5. Specialized FieldMaterials chemistry based on physical chemistry and/or inorganic
chemistry, such as Electrochemistry, inorganic solid chemistry
6. Responsibilities(1) Research in the above-mentioned specialized fields
(2) Educational activities in both Japanese and English, including
lectures, seminars, and student supervision, in Division of Applied
Chemistry and Chemical Science Course, Division of Applied Science,
Center for Education in Liberal Arts and Sciences, and other related
departments
(3) University and department administration and management
7. Qualifications[Essential]
An applicant must have:
(1) Ph.D. or equivalent in related fields
(2) Outstanding research achievements in the specialized fields
(3) Ability to teach at graduate and undergraduate levels
(4) English and Japanese language proficiencies sufficient to fulfill
the above-mentioned work duties
8. Starting DateApril 1, 2025 (or as soon as possible thereafter)
9. Term of EmploymentNo fixed term (Until the end of the fiscal year at 65 years of age)
10. Probationary Period6 months
